Baby middle names are a great way for any parent to include
individuality when naming their baby. Often many parents will
combine a common first name with some baby middle names in order to
produce something a little more unique. The great benefit of
this is that your child can then avoid the embarrassment throughout
their life by either ignoring it or by just not letting anyone know
what it is.
However when choosing any baby middle names it is important that
you put together with both their first and last names and see
how it sounds. Ideally the middle name should flow easily off
the tongue and not wrap you up in knots when trying to say it.
Also if you can choose a middle name which begins with a
different letter or different sound from that in which their first
name ends. This will often help to provide you with a much
smoother name combination. So if you can do not name your
child something like David Donald but rather go for something like
David Michael instead.
When choosing a middle name for your baby vary the number of
syllables in each of their first and middle. So if they have
a short first name then compliment it by using something a little
longer. But whatever you do ensure that you do not string
together three long names.
The next thing you need to check out when choosing a baby's
middle name is to see what the initials spell out. Do they
spell out something intelligible or it is an acronym that will end
up with the being teased in the playground at school. So keep
away from names that when attached to your surname are going to
cause problems. For example if your surname is Graham then do
not choose names that begin with either P or I for the first and
middle names.
However what is really important when choosing baby middle names
for your own child is that you do not put too much stress on
finding the perfect middle name. For many people today they
will not use their middle name as part of daily life. Often
it only comes in to play when a person is completing certain forms
such as driving licence or passport applications and then they will
include it.
